Fibroblast, also known as soft surgery, is a revolutionary skin tightening procedure that is an alternative to invasive surgical cosmetic procedures with reduced recovery time and without potential complications that can arise before and after surgery.

Fibroblast is a minimally invasive treatment that uses a device fitted with tiny needles to deliver heat to the skin to tighten and firm. By using electrical heat on tiny columns of the skin, skin fibers are minimized and collagen production is boosted. As a result, the skin will be tighter, and excess skin removed.

AM I A GOOD CANDIDATE?

As with most cosmetic procedures, if you are pregnant or nursing you should avoid this treatment. Although some darker skin types are suitable for the soft surgery procedure, it is not advised for those with very dark skin due to hyper-pigmentation or hypo-pigmentation following treatment.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?

It is best to arrive with clean skin, free of make-up on the treatment area. A numbing cream is applied to the treatment area and allowed to sit for 20 minutes.  At the start of the treatment, you may feel some heat in the treatment area, which may be slightly uncomfortable (the equivalent of sunburn discomfort).  Treatment times are usually between 30 to 90 minutes, depending on the size of the treatment area. Immediately after treatment, you may experience a burning sensation, but it should only last a few hours. Your skin therapist will apply a cooling gel to the treatment area and provide you with thorough aftercare instructions to ensure that you see the best results. You will see immediate results after your treatment, but the best results will be seen after three weeks. If you require additional treatments they can be done at 6-8 week intervals.
